Pražská Galéria CIANT mení event stratégiu a sprievodný program k výstavam kondenzuje do niekoľkodňových blokov v mesiaci. Prvý Reset je venovaný predovšetkým elektromagnetickému spektru ako médiu pre umelecké a sociálne intervencie. Od stredy 20. do piatku 22. 10. prebehne séria prezentácií. Marko Peljhan predstaví I-TASC, umelecký výskum počasia, obnoviteľnej energie a udržateľnej architektúry v Antarktíde a Arktíde. Na mini-sympóziu o otvorenom spektre predstaví Robert Horvitz iniciatívu Open Spectrum Foundation (Praha/Amsterdam), José Luis de Vicente a Irma Vilà online databázu umeleckých projektov pracujúcich s EM spektrom. Linda Vebere odprezentuje umelecký výskum a festival Art + Communication: Waves / Spectropia, ktorý hosťuje centrum RIXC v Rige. Na programe je tiež projekcia kineskopického sci-fi Spectres of the Spectrum, a ď. Pre naše končiny ide o nepríliš reflektovanú oblasť, bude čo objavovať.

the New Easy is a mostly unpolitical trend, with an optimistic, pragmatical approach towards creation of today’s art. But the most celebrated mark is the apparent ease of both the brilliance of the subjacent idea, as the reputedly simple and fast production method. A New Easy work looks like it was invented in 1 and created in 3 seconds, proving the artist’s geniality of which he knows how to escape a hopelessly depressed world. It is the kind of art that makes the blog-kids cheer.

David Gauntlett is a british sociologist specializing in the studies of contemporary media audiences. In 2007 he published article Media Studies 2.0, which stirred up vital discussion (see abridged notes at wikipedia) and hopefully left at least some traces in the important minds.

Most interestingly, yet before this discussion, William Merrin, Lecturer in Media Studies, found his blog aggregating month by month thematic articles in the very spirit of later Gauntlett’s article bearing even the same title.
