The 25th Chaos Communication Congress (25C3) is the annual four-day conference organized by the Chaos Computer Club (CCC). It takes place at the bcc Berliner Congress Center in Berlin, Germany. The Congress offers lectures and workshops on a multitude of topics and attracts a diverse audience of thousands of hackers, scientists, artists, and utopians from all around the world. The 25C3s slogan is “Nothing to hide”.

Climate Change as Global Cultural Change
With the festival theme DEEP NORTH transmediale.09 focusses on the global artistic, cultural, societal and philosophical consequences that the presumed imminent collapse of the polar ice barrier may trigger. Are we about to reach another historically succinct moment of no return leaving in its wake uncontrollable global transformations? Does climate change elicit cultural change, a shifting of extremes or a collapse in established, systemic and network norms?

Is there a sense to talk about national design? National design schools (such as Polish, Holland, Swiss…) have been flushed down by the international design, haven‘t they? Can we recognize national design as a national design by its place of origin or origin of the designer? When we talk about national design, can we talk about state (government) design? What is the difference between inner state design (communication of the state with the citizens) and outer state design (state self-presentation abroad)? Does the level of state design quality tell something about culture quality?

Festival Expandia představuje to nejlepší ze současné audiovizuální performance. Improvizace ve zvuku i obrazu. Čeští a slovenští hudebníci a vizualisté v osvědčených sestavách i v unikátních kolaborativních projektech. Unikátní zahraniční hosté. Na pódiu Nod se objeví exkluzivní francouzský polyekran Burstscratch; tvůrce vizuálu Radian, Ch.Fennesze a jedna z nejprogresivnějších rakouských VJs Jade; svou tvorbu bude prezentovat přední německý skladatel a multimedilní umělec Arnold Dreyblatt; v nové spolupráci se představí duo Jack/Jack s Dušanem Urbancem; meotarovou improvizaci obrazu s živým zvukem zastupuje duo 2M (Markéta Lisá a Magdalena Hrubá) ve spolupráci s Kapelou snů (Krekovič-Pjoni); Catophone zahrají unikátní polykran na tři plátna složený pouze ze zvuků a obrazů koček; Carpets Curtains (duo Palacký-Cenek) představí svůj nejnovější koncertní program H2Oise.
