Včera 2. mája spustil svoj bohatý program 10. ročník festivalu Multiplace v troch európskych krajinách. Ďalšie tri sa pridajú počas nadchádzajúceho týždňa plného multimediálnych inštalácií, tvorivých dielní, diskusií, koncertov, performancií, výstav, prezentácií a premietaní. Festival, ktorého hlavnou témou je REMAKE: re-interpretácie inšpiratívnych diel z bohatej histórie umenia nových médií, prebehne od 2.-8. mája.

Cieľom platformy Multiplace je vytvoriť živnú pôdu pre mediálne umenie, podporiť kreativitu v otvorenom a kolaboratívnom prostredí. Multiplace je medzinárodná sieť ľudí a organizácií, venujúcich sa interakcii médií a technológií s umením, kultúrou a spoločnosťou. Vyvrcholením aktivít siete je každoročný festival, ktorý momentálne prebieha na Slovensku, v Českej republike, Francúzsku, Maďarsku, Rumunsku a na Islande.
V Bratislave zatiaľ prebehli dva workshopy a otvorenie výstavy MULTIPLACE EXPO v Galérii Enter. Výstava ukazuje rôzne polohy konceptu REMAKE. Nenechajte si ujsť projekciu na 3D objekty írskeho umelca Ocusonic-a, kresliaci stroj Václava Pelouška alebo softvér Jana Nálepu generujúci zvuky z grafických partitúr. Výstava je otvorená do soboty 7. mája. Trnava sa do programu zapojila projekciou animácie Viliama Slaminku “Kto je tu šéf?!” pred Galériou Jána Koniarka v Trnave. Koncept animácie je myslený ako nepriama reakcia na nedávne snahy, dôvody a následné odvolanie Vladimíra Beskida z postu riaditeľa Galérie Jána Koniarka v Trnave. Brno ponúklo pravý „synestetický zážitok 21. storočia“ – laserovú show Austrálčana Robina Foxa, ktorá sa presúva aj do Bratislavy. Večerom ďalej sprevádzali Derek Holzer s projektom Tonewheels a domáci multimediálni umelci Peter Gonda (gnd), Michal Cab (Cab) a Tomaš Hrůza. Praha ponúkla Blau Peru, performanciu Alexandry Moralesovej a Georgija Bagdasarova. Paralelne v Reykjavíku prebiehala interaktívna videoinštalácia, ktorá bude ďalej pokračovať sériou hudobných a vizuálnych experimentov počas celého týždňa. Festival potrvá do nedele 8.5. za účasti umelcov z Ameriky, Austrálie, Českej republiky, Holandska, Islandu, Nemecka, Kanady, Španielska a Veľkej Británie.

Yesterday, on 2 May, 10th Multiplace festival has started its rich programme in three European countries. Another three will follow during the whole week full of fresh installations, workshops, discussions, concerts, performances, exhibitions, presentations and screenings, from 2-8 May.

The aim of the festival-network Multiplace is to create the fertile ground for new media art, to support the creativity in an open and collaborative environment. Multiplace is a network of people and organisations interested in interaction between media, technologies, art, culture and society. Network activities culminate every year into the festival, which is now taking place at the same time in Slovakia, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Romania and Iceland.
In Bratislava, the audience could take part in two workshops and the exhibition opening MULTIPLACE EXPO. The exhibition presents the various forms of the REMAKE concepts. You certainly should not miss projections onto 3D objects by Irish artist Ocusonic, Vaclav Pelousek’s drawing machine and the software by Jan Nalepa, which generates sounds from scores by the Slovak artist Milan Adamčiak. The exhibition is open till Saturday, May 7th. Trnava joined the programme with the animation of Viliam Slaminka „Who’s the boss?!“, right in front of Ján Koniarek Gallery in Trnava. Brno offered a truly “synesthetic experience of the 21st century”, the laser show by Robin Fox. The remake-noise party night continued with Derek Holzer’s project Tonewheels.and local multimedia artists Peter Gonda (gnd), Michal Cab (Cab) and Tomaš Hrůza. Praha offered BLAU PERU, a performance by Alexandra Moralesová and George Bagdasarov. At the same time, an installation of interactive sound and video elements took place in Reykjavik. The installation will continue throughout the week by a series of musical and visual experiments.
