Collaboration between performance artist Johnny Fox (UK) and visual artist Zuzana Godálová (SK) will create a dialogue between organic and digital entities. Using audio and visual performance to drive a narrative of a simple human experience, it will be a re-worked performance which took place in Sheffield (UK) 2009.

“We are put in a position where at least 10 doors are open, choices are given to be made within our available technology which no longer needs to just function for human purposes but ‘will function on its own’, as a life form in itself reacting to us through simple hybrid systems of integration.”

Laser beams, hacked radios, transformed gaming console controls: the creative utilisation of technologies can act to critically analyse the information era, by utilising new media in an unusual way, as well as by improvising surprising audiovisual combinations directly in front of the audience. Robin Fox’s laser show is a real “21st century synaesthetic experience”, based on the visualisation of sound: the audience is immersed in electronically produced sound waves perfectly combined with the movement of laser beams. Composer and vocalist Alex Nowitz uses adapted wireless Wii controllers to record, play back and transform his voice in real time. His performance Homo Ludens for a four channel sound system adds a new dimension to experimental voice performance. And finally, Spanish artist, activist and DIY-engineer Victor Mazon with an audiovisual performance made for this occasion.
