Discussion/lecture on the function and applicability of radio and radioart in contemporary Czech and Slovak Republic and an attempt at a comparison with surrounding countries. The search for identity and context in the functioning of European community FM and internet radios. What is the point of building a public audiovisual archive and netcasting?

The workshop is intended for everyone with a basic knowledge of computer manipulation of audio and video. It will focus on acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge in broadcasting – streaming sound and image material over the internet. Everyone with a computer, audio device and minidisc (or just old magnetophone or tape dictaphone) has the ability to build their own mini radio station.

Presentation of Radio Lemurie and its activities – theory of internet and idea of temporary autonomous zone – netradio genres overview (censorship, freedom, copyright) – idea of connecting more internet radios into the one (sharing) – netradio communities – Radio Territories, Radiactivity – technical conditions for streaming (software, hardware) – poetics of the internet ether with practical examples.

„SKB“ – retro-sono-graphy (live edition) – vagarious sound findings between the sunken tentacles of memories rise to the surface and look around with caution, breathing in and letting their voices resound. Voices are bound from the surface and the surrounding environment, creating echoes, loops, resonating with others and leaving a path. A pseudoimprovised commented search for the final sound.

Come and play the lullaby to FaVU dean, we will invite him for you.
Besides your involvement there is a video and audio massage waiting for you (FaVU archive, Chicago selection, Zlin artistic school, MTP collection, etc..), workshops in progress, lectures, recycling container, meaningful streaming and refreshment for body and change of the space you will notice. installation

Videoinstallation „So See You Later“ consists of five loops compiled from uncut video that Klara’s father filmed over several years at the family cottage holidays. We are watching seemingly innocent scenes where the father as a person behind camera sets recorded reality to the position he chooses without hesitation.

Klara Dolezalkova has performed several times with the experimental music group Kunst-ruch-ter as well as at the last year’s Multiplace in Bratislava. As a student of Audiovisual Studies at FAMU she works with various media.

Pash* is known mostly as the author of weird characters in the Prague streets, recently he has jumped into painting, original animations and also interactive installations with which he feels more and more comfortable. He studies the camera at FAMU and doesn’t wash his feet.
