Executive summary of a new study on the Economy of Culture in Europe (in
English and French) which has been completed by Kern European Affairs for
the European Commission (DG Education and Culture) and presented on 13
November 2006 to the Council of Ministers of Culture.

The study has been completed with the aim to promote culture as a central
element of the European integration process. For the first time, it
provides a measure of the sector's economic and social significance in
Europe.
